Position Details Title: Nurse Practitioner (Job ID 1064) Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 1 year contract Pay Rate: $85.00 + DOE per hour (W2) Shift: 1st Shift (4-10s Monday-Thursday) Essential Responsibilities Respond to emergencies and administer first aid for job‑related illnesses and injuries. Deliver OSHA‑required physicals and surveillance program services such as hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, and biological monitoring to identified employee populations in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety. Review and interpret external occupational health clinic results and reports, including history/physical, EKG, lab work, spirometry, and audiograms. Maintain accurate recordkeeping in the electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements. Provide resource support to nurses in the treatment of employee injuries and illnesses, including triage and disposition. Collaborate with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among workers, and develop preventative measures. Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace. Serve as a resource to the W/C COE to maximize employee productivity and overall health and safety, reducing disability claims, on‑the‑job injury claims, and absenteeism. Partner with Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Human Resources, and Management, and when required contact external providers to address health issues that impact safety and functional ability for employees. Oversee current medical practices related to handling hazardous materials or maintaining health and safety standards (OSHA programs). Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to respond to unexpected exposures or hazards in the workplace and develop preventative measures. Basic Qualifications 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Master’s or Doctoral Nursing Program Degree. Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California. BLS certification. U.S. citizenship. Preferred Qualifications Occupational health experience. NIOSH spirometry certification.
