Medical Assistant

US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly alongside our physicians to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, supporting providers during procedures, and being part of a collaborative clinical team. Our Medical Assistants receive hands-on training and ongoing clinical education to help you build your skills and succeed in the role. Medical Assistant Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams Assist physicians with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens Prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure clinical supplies are stocked Provide patient education and follow-up communication Support scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and other administrative tasks as needed Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations Maintain accurate patient records through EMR documentation, scanning, and data entry Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and daily office operations Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience CMA or RMA certification preferred Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Benefits Offered: Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available) Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) plan with Company Match Employee Discount Program Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here represent those required to perform essential job functions.
