Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled forklift operator with experience in warehouse and production support. The ideal candidate should be able to drive a box truck and pass a DOT physical. Intermediate computer skills and RF scanning experience are preferred, along with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.

• Demonstrate and promote the company's vision.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

• Learn and understand departmental goals.

• Assist team members with fulfilling internal requests.

• Ensure inventory is stored properly and safely, maintaining warehouse safety, neatness, and organization.

• Stock warehouse areas using a First In, First Out (FIFO) system for production rooms.

• Locate inventory in appropriate storage locations, including cold chain staging and controlled areas.

• Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and assist other departments with inventory movements.

• Run inventory reports for stock put-away and review replenishment reports to support distribution processes.

• Replenish distribution protocols in forward pick zones and move stagnant protocols for long-term storage.

• Put away canceled distribution orders, ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counting.

• Identify discrepancies and assist with problem-solving and fact-finding.

• Assist with technician I duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation (stand-up forklift, reach forklift)

• RF scanner experience

• Inventory control

• Basic math skills

• Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Windows

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

• Ability to pass TSA clearance

• Good communication skills

• Attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is a plus

• Willingness to train on stand-up forklifts and order pickers

• Material handling and cherry picker experience

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Mastery of skills to read and adhere to SOPs and GMP policies

Work Environment

This role operates within a manufacturing environment, including some clean rooms. The position involves exposure to temperature extremes, ranging from -30°C to 25°C, for up to 30 minutes at a time, and may require the use of PAPR. Shift options include 1st shift (6AM - 2:30PM, Mon-Fri), 2nd shift (11AM - 7PM, Mon-Fri), and 3rd shift (11PM - 7AM, Sun-Thurs).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.28/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
