KOC Address In office, Klamath Falls, OR, US NURSE PRACTITIONER Job Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical assessments and screenings on patients Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history Order and interpret lab tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures Prescribe medication and monitor patient response and side effects Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients Non Surgical, Clinic Only Job Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with Nurse Practitioner specialization or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree specializing in advanced practice nursing. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and certification in the relevant specialty. Skills Strong clinical assessment skills to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a compassionate bedside manner. Proficiency in performing clinical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical procedures. Competency in prescribing and managing medications, including knowledge of potential side effects and drug interactions. Ability to order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as communicate results to patients. Skill in providing health education and promoting wellness and prevention. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping and data management. The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed clinical decisions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and providing immediate care in critical situations.
