Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients, arranging for diagnostic tests, and crafting tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions independently or in partnership with physicians as per your credentials
• Guiding patients and their families in preventative and wellness strategies as well as disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within the framework of your practice
• Engaging in continuous patient follow-ups and chronic illness management
• Working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless and holistic care
• Accurately documenting patient information in electronic health records (EHR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to secure them within 90 days)
