Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a highly responsible position that coordinates the facilities operation under the direction of the Administrative Services Director. This position performs duties and responsibilities of overseeing building maintenance for two (2) sites for the Florida Department of Health in Hernando County (FDOH - Hernando), overseeing and providing the maintenance, repairs, and security and assists with the policies and procedures governing same. Responsible for monitoring, tracking and accountability of inventory for all equipment, cars, etc. surplus of equipment. Requires independent judgment and decision making.
Serves as a back-up in coordination with primary facilities services staff as a liaison with the Hernando County facilities and vendors that provide services at both facilities. Coordinates with County maintenance crews and contractors/vendors for all necessary installations, repairs, emergency repairs, and maintenance for both facilities. In coordination with primary facilities services staff, performs maintenance and security of the Spring Hill and Brooksville facilities during and after hours. Services in on-call/subject to call status for building security for after hours and weekends, responds to calls for both offices. Ensures building maintenance, small repairs, security and inventory are in working order, and in compliance with mandates, needs and the policies and procedures governing each area. Provides authorized staff with required access to facilities and maintains security for same. Assists in keeping outside premises neat, clean, and orderly. Assists with property tracking and inventory, maintenance of pool vehicles, transportation of medications, client records, reports, supplies, and equipment.
Work in collaboration with the DOH-Hernando Preparedness Planner and under direction from the Health Officer for compliance with DOH-Hernando’s public health preparedness program. Ensures the maintenance of county-level plans that meet regional and state requirements. Coordinates planning efforts of county community partners including hospitals, emergency management, EMS, private health care and other governmental and non-governmental organizations. Ensures the maintenance of all planning documents related to emergency operations (all hazards) for DOH - Hernando. Coordinates Health and Medical response activities per the county comprehensive emergency management plan (CEMP). Assists the Preparedness Planner with coordination of ESF8 communities liaison among the private medical community, public health entities, governmental and non-governmental agencies. Works collaboratively with Hernando County Emergency Management.
Attend all meetings, manage functional group actions and projects, and provide suggestions and feedback to management as well as new hire onboarding/orientation. This position works with primary onboarding staff for, but not limited to, conducting fingerprinting services, coordination of badge creation, assistance with network accessibility, etc.
Information Security and Privacy Coordinator (ISPC) duties which include but are not limited to: coordination in the development and review of local information security and privacy procedures/policies/protocols, staff authorized to access confidential information, assignment and maintenance of user credentials, at least annually; ensure all members of the Department workforce have access to information security and privacy policies, protocols, and procedures; ensure all new members of the Department workforce have completed security and privacy awareness training within 30 days of employment and/or prior to accessing confidential information, whichever is earliest; enforce all information security and privacy policies; assist with incident reports and documentation of resolution of all suspected and confirmed breaches of security and confidentiality; assist information owners to ensure data classifications meet all laws and rules related to information security and privacy. Serve as a point of contact for Health Information Exchange audits of suspicious activity and draft breach notification letters or complete a HIPAA Risk Assessment for incidents involving a breach of PHI, as appropriate, as directed by the HIPAA Privacy Officer.
Performs other related duties as required or requested. Attends conferences in-service programs and workshops in reference to various programs and remains up to date on preparedness issues in relation to local impacts. Maintains active communication with other agencies and attends meetings as needed and appropriate.

Qualifications:
Minimum - Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions. Be comfortable working on-call, including weekends and after-hours. Have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license.
Preferred - Worked in facilities management and or maintenance for at least one year. Have one year experience maintaining accurate records in a professional setting. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams). Have experience coordinating schedules, meetings, or training sessions using digital tools. Be able to accurately input and update data while ensuring compliance with policies.
