Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a 396-bed hospital in Florence, SC.

Job Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM,
• Every other weekend required,
• Holiday rotation required,
• Floating required within scope to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery,
• No floating to sister facilities,
• Charting via Epic,
• 396-bed hospital setting,
• Free parking on-site,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; recent critical care experience is required,
• RRT credential required; CRTs will not be considered,
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required at time of start,
• Certifications required at time of start: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS (all AHA), and NBRC (RRT),
• Social Security Number (SSN) and Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,
• First-time travelers will not be considered,
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible,
• SC RCP license required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date,
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs,
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak hurricane activity occurs in August and September,
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
