It is important that a friendly, caring, courteous, and professional attitude is always displayed as this person has front-line contact with patients and families.**Duties and responsibilities**Obtain patient health history and perform physical examination for consultation visits and follow up visitsAssess patient needs and establish with supervising physician the plan for care. Order appropriate imaging and laboratory tests as indicatedReview results and consult with supervising physician as appropriate and delegated by the supervising physicianPrescribe and dispense medication in accordance with state and federal regulations. Document subjective and objective findings in electronic health recordsProvide basic education and counseling to patientsCollaborate with staff and other clinicians to develop, update, and comply with medical and nursing protocolsCoordinate medical care with other providers to optimize patient careManage after hours care, including weekend and evenings as requested by supervising physicianOrganize patient information to track patient careCommunicate verbally either in person or by phone or text to the supervising physician to optimize patient careElectronic health record documentation to be completed within 24 hours of the patient visit# Working conditions/ Physical requirementsMedical office settingModerate noise levels from medical setting and equipment Standing for long periods of timeAbility to see details at close rangeAbility to listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences Ability to read and understand information in writingAbility to communicate information in speaking so others will understand Daily uses of hands to type, file, and write/sign documentsMinimum lifting requirements of 25 pounds in order to transfer equipment, help patients with positioning, and pack/unpack supplies Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to assist patients## Qualifications**Qualifications/Education Requirements** * Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program with a valid unrestricted license to practice issued by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.* Degrees/credits must be from an academically accredited college or university as recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for the Higher Education (CHEA).* Good knowledge of medicine as related to medical examination, health history, the development of working diagnoses, and other areas as appropriate to the specific service provided.* Must have working knowledge of electronic health records* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Computer experience with EMR knowledge**Working conditions/ Physical requirements** * Medical office setting* Moderate noise levels from medical setting and equipment Standing for long periods of time* Ability to see details at close range* Ability to listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences Ability to read and understand information in writing* Ability to communicate information in speaking so others will understand Daily uses of hands to type, file, and write/sign documents* Minimum lifting requirements of 25 pounds in order to transfer equipment, help patients with positioning, and pack/unpack supplies* Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to assist patients #J-18808-Ljbffr
