About the Role:

The Life Enrichment Assistant at Madison House plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our retirement community. This position focuses on creating and implementing engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being among our residents. The assistant will work closely with the Life Enrichment Coordinator to develop programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents. By fostering a supportive and stimulating environment, the Life Enrichment Assistant helps residents maintain their independence and dignity. Ultimately, this role contributes to a vibrant community where residents feel valued and connected.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
• Experience in activity planning or facilitation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities and programs for residents.
• Engage residents in various recreational, social, and educational activities to promote their well-being.
• Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with other staff members to assess residents' needs and preferences for activity planning.
• Document participation and feedback from residents to help improve future programs.
