Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The EP Lab RN provides specialized nursing support to the cardiology team during invasive procedures focused on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. They ensure safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced cardiac electrophysiology environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists during rhythm management device implantations, ablations, and lead extractions.
• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient hemodynamics throughout procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment by assisting with scrub duties and equipment setup.
• Perform cardioversions and respond to intra-procedural emergencies as needed.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure patient education and care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license with current CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, or electrophysiology setting.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm management devices, ablations, and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Ability to monitor hemodynamics and administer sedation safely.
• Skilled in patient assessment, intervention, and emergency response.
