Engineering Technician V

Responsibilities Oversee and manage the most complex technical projects. Provide direction and expert-level troubleshooting and maintenance. Lead and coordinate advanced calibration and testing processes. Analyze and interpret complex data, making strategic recommendations. Mentor and develop technical staff across all levels. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and technical standards. Qualifications – Mandatory Associate's degree in a related field of study. 7+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Ability to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications. Comprehensive understanding of the use of standard laboratory test equipment, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, Pitot‑static equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Expertise in advanced system maintenance and troubleshooting. Qualifications – Preferred Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL). Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation. Understanding of soldering techniques. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with 3‑D CAD software. Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military. Prior experience in a Lead role; ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of subordinates. Master’s degree in a related technical field. Strong background in strategic research and development. Essential Functions Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly. Ability to be on your feet for much of the work shift. Dexterity to handle and assemble small components. Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and loud environments. Ability to travel as required. Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Salary Estimated Starting Salary Range: $50.78 - $69.81. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
