Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for lathe machines using CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and part models to determine optimal machining strategies.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts based on material and part geometry.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and resolve potential collisions or machining issues.
• Create and maintain tooling sheets, setup sheets, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to optimize processes and troubleshoot production problems.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and part quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in G-code programming for CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of various tooling, cutting parameters, and material properties.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes for program testing and verification.
• Experience with in-process inspection and quality control procedures.
