Department Head of Engineering

The client is seeking a Department Head of Engineering for its College of Business and Industry. This role supports the development of the newly established Bachelor of Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, a part of the client's strategic plan to enhance economic development through industrial partnerships. The department collaborates with leading regional manufacturers to meet the evolving demands of high-tech workplaces. The department also offers degrees in Electrical Engineering Technology and associate degrees in Electronics Technology and General Technology, with additional undergraduate degrees available through a partnership allowing completion at the client's campus. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited institution and have a minimum of four years of teaching or industry experience. They must have a proven record of professional accomplishments that meet the qualifications for an associate professor or professor rank. Preferred candidates will have leadership experience, professional engineering experience in advanced manufacturing, and experience in developing new curricula. The salary starts at a minimum of $125,000, based on education and experience, plus benefits. The client is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, a vibrant city with rich history and culture.
