Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery with high-risk OB experience License: Must possess an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS Must-Have: - Heparin drip experience - Ability to float to various units as needed Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics. Heparin drip experience is required for this position. The role involves assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and managing care for patients undergoing obstetric procedures. Registered Nurses must be familiar with maintaining central lines, triaging obstetrical patients, and administering medications such as magnesium sulfate and insulin drips. Every other weekend is required, with a total of 2 weekends per month. Candidates must adhere to the RTO policy, which limits time off requests during holiday periods. Floating may occur as a part of the job requirements, and nurses should be prepared to assist in various units according to facility needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams are essential for this role. The Registered Nurse will utilize Cerner for charting and documentation purposes.
