This is an entry level training position and consists of an intensive 16-week training program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Under the direction of a mentor, your primary responsibility is to learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross-dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills. At the completion of the Trainee Program, relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations will be required.Complete the leadership training program requiring guided, independent study. Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily. Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls. Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to garner an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion.For this position, candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or alternatively, have at least two years of related work experience. An acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards is essential. The role demands flexibility with a readiness to relocate as needed. Successful candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening abilities, and must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Basic computer skills are necessary, along with a very strong work ethic, to thrive in this dynamic environment.
