Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.What you will get to do:This multi-tiered and multi-disciplined team assesses design compatibilities across the Weapon System (WS) Segment teams. The team serves as the objective integrators to ensure balanced requirement definition influences design space/decisions that ultimately ensures full-lifecycle capability effectiveness. Candidates must be able to understand the intent of WS design at the highest levels and drive engineering processes & analyses into specific product team designs to prove successful design integration and analyze for potential gaps. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership and foundational systems engineering skills to drive process and technical gap resolution of interface and requirement design solutions to achieve program and contract objectives. Demonstrated ability to foster diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading Engineering teams.Responsibilities:Demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents.Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teamsParticipate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systemsBasic Qualifications:Systems Engineer (Level 2): 2 Years of related experience with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 0 Years with MastersPrincipal Systems Engineer (Level 3): 5 Years of related experience with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDMust be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsMust be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsMinimum 2 years working experience on ICBMsMinimum 2 years Systems Engineering experienceMinimum 2 years of DOORS or related experienceDirect development experience of interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specificationsExperience with creating and executing to schedule & technical recovery plansExperience working across program organizations to find solutionsExperience with team leadership/managementPreferred Qualifications:Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon SystemsExperience contributing towards various phases of a program lifecycleExperience contributing towards various phases of the Systems Engineering "V" lifecycleExperience with developing architectural diagramsEarned Value Management experienceRisk Management experiencePosition BenefitsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $131,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
