Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for neuroscience OR cases including neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy procedures ranging from simple single-level to complex 10+ level surgeries, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures
• Operate within a high-volume OR environment supporting approximately 45–60 cases per day across 25 operating rooms
• Participate in on-call rotation: weekday call consists of two 8-hour shifts per schedule (2330–0700); weekend call consists of three 12-hour shifts per schedule (0700–1930 or 1900–0730) with a 45-minute response time
• Float to other service lines within the Main OR as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room
• Strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex multi-level spine procedures, spine tumor cases, and deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity OR setting
