Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Department Schedule: PRN Days Location: Maria Parham Medical Center - Henderson, NC Provides direct patient care in the Medical Surgical Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director or Manager of Medical Surgical Department How You’ll Contribute Performs plan‑of‑care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs. Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
