Job Summary and Qualifications ***LOCATION - Auburndale Freestanding ER, 2885 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven, FL 33881 ***Shift Information - Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6p - 630a The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT exams in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. The CT Tech demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, quality assurance, specialized techniques, and adheres to all Corporate Radiation Right policies. Responsibilities of the CT Technologist Perform CT - Computed Tomography Procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology and Radiology Department policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques. Verify written order matches requisition prior to performing exam. Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered. Administer contrast material using proper technique. Manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently. Communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely manner. Maintain a well-cleaned and supplied department at all times.
