Construction Superintendent (Full time)

Belmont, CA

The Superintendent is responsible for managing and scheduling site construction personnel and jobsite operations. This position is also responsible for implementing and adhering to protocols and procedures to ensure jobsite safety, quality of work, and field team performance. The Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, on budget, and to the level of quality expected.

Superintendent Responsibilities:

Manage jobsite operations, logistics, safety, and subcontractors.

Review plans, specifications, contracts, drawings, and submittals.

Develop and maintain master and look-ahead schedules.

Coordinate labor, materials, vendors, and subcontractors.

Lead OAC and subcontractor coordination meetings.

Monitor quality, workmanship, safety, progress, and schedule compliance.

Maintain daily logs, photos, and project documentation in Procore.

Resolve constructability and field issues and manage field changes/work orders.

Ensure compliance with building codes, inspections, and required certifications.

Leadership & Business Partnership

Lead and delegate tasks while promoting accountability and independent decision-making.

Mentor, coach, and train field staff, including Assistant Superintendents, Carpenters, Laborers, and Interns.

Apply strong problem-solving and presentation skills.

Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, consultants, and management.

Partner with HR and leadership on employee performance, safety, and development.

Ensure teams follow company safety protocols and align with overall business objectives.

Education / Experience / Qualifications:

5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience.

Experience with Tenant Improvements, Ground-Up, Renovations, Life Science, and similar projects.

Able to manage large projects or multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and building systems (security, fire, mechanical, electrical, and data).

Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.

Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including nights/weekends, and perform physical jobsite duties.

Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
