Position Database Architect – Permanent Full Time – Arlington, Virginia, United States Job Description CGI Federal invites you to join our Intel sector as a Database Architect in Arlington, VA, to advance the national security mission through cutting‑edge technology. You will design, build, and manage data systems, creating blueprints for relational, NoSQL, and cloud‑based databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and performance, and establishing best practices for data storage and access. You will collaborate with software developers, IT teams, and business leaders to align data strategies with business objectives and support long‑term scalability and efficiency. Responsibilities Design and create data models and blueprints for relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases. Develop integrated data systems and ensure they work effectively with existing infrastructure. Implement strategies and standards to protect data and maintain its accuracy and consistency. Optimize database performance; ensure scalability and ability to handle growing data volumes and user demands. Collaborate with software developers, IT teams, and business leaders to align data strategies with business objectives. Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies and platforms. Establish policies, standards, and best practices for data management, operations, and access. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience in database architecture. Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired. Proficiency with multiple database management systems (relational, NoSQL, cloud). Strong SQL knowledge for querying and management. Expertise in cloud‑based data storage and management solutions. Skill in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Ability to design robust, scalable, and secure data architectures. Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving performance and functionality issues. Compensation Estimated salary range: $100,000.00 – $200,000.00.
