Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Lexington Prescription Center is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our independent community pharmacy team. We are looking for a licensed technician with at least 2 years of pharmacy experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system
Process insurance claims and assist with billing issues
Answer phone calls and assist customers with prescription questions and refill requests
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Operate cash register and process customer transactions
Assist with inventory management, stocking, and expiration date checks
Prepare prescriptions for pickup or delivery
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
Communicate professionally with customers, providers, and insurance companies
Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies

Qualifications

Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license/registration required
Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
Basic computer and data entry skills
Some Saturday hours are required
