Critical Care Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Nashville, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic CVICU team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those on advanced devices and support systems. This role demands a high level of critical thinking and competency in managing complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor and manage patients on advanced cardiac devices such as ECMO, Centrimag, and HM3 LVADs.
• Perform essential procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubation.
• Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Strong critical care experience, particularly in CVICU.
• Expertise in managing PA catheters and performing hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred.
