Project Engineer

We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion. This role will involve coordinating technical activities, monitoring project progress, and ensuring that work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and in line with agreed quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain clear communication throughout each project.


Key responsibilities will include preparing project plans, programmes, budgets, technical reports, and progress updates; reviewing drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation; coordinating design and construction activities; and tracking project costs, risks, variations, and milestones. You will assist with procurement and contractor management, attend site meetings, support commissioning and handover activities, and ensure that all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, health and safety requirements, and environmental procedures. The role will also require identifying potential delays or technical challenges, developing practical solutions, and maintaining accurate project records.


Applicants should hold a degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, or a related discipline, together with proven experience supporting or managing engineering projects. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a changing environment. You should be confident interpreting technical information, using project management and engineering software, and communicating effectively with people at all levels. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are important. Relevant professional accreditation, site experience, and knowledge of contract administration or project controls would be advantageous.
