Primary Responsibilities
Clinical Consultation: Collaborate closely with physicians, care teams, and nursing staff on prescription orders, drug therapies, alternative treatments, and adverse reaction management.
Pharmaceutical Care & Compounding: Prepare, compound, and dispense medications accurately while upholding state and national standards of practice.
Drug Utilization & Safety: Conduct thorough Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR), develop review criteria for medical staff approval, and monitor patient therapies to balance therapeutic efficacy with financial risk management.
Operations & Leadership: Work independently to oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, delegating tasks to support staff and maintaining strict infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
Documentation & Systems: Utilize modern hospital systems for precise record management, data entry, and patient care tracking.
Candidate Qualifications
Licensure: Active Pharmacist License in the State of Arizona (Required).
Experience: Hands-on background in an inpatient hospital setting (Required).
Skills: Demonstrated experience with pharmaceutical compounding (Required).
Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
