Senior Accountant

Why This Opportunity Stands Out Mission‑oriented environment with strong values and community impact Stable accounting team with very low turnover and supportive leadership Organization is experiencing sustained growth, capital expansion, and increased funding Exposure to full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and bequest tracking Responsibilities Manage full‑cycle accounting , including month‑end close and reconciliations Record revenues, expenses, journal entries, and adjustments in the accounting system Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Assist with bequest tracking , including reviewing donor documents and applying proper restrictions Ensure timely deposits and accurate recording of all financial transactions Oversee or support AP and AR workflow Maintain and update the organization’s general ledger , fixed assets listing, and internal documentation Assist with audit, tax, and compliance activities, including preparation of schedules and support Review and contribute to internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements Partner professionally with staff, departments, volunteers, and external vendors Support non‑financial reporting and organizational performance tracking frameworks Help safeguard organizational assets through accuracy, documentation, and adherence to controls What They’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-4+ years of relevant experience (public accounting experience preferred) Strong foundation in GAAP, financial statements, and month‑end close Ability to balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay highly organized Excellent communication skills when interacting with internal staff and external vendors #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
