Data Engineering Intern

Overview The Digital Centre of Excellence team is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to support the Data Engineering team in managing an enterprise data warehouse for analytics and business intelligence reporting. The candidate should have a working knowledge of SQL-based databases, and knowledge of Python is preferred. They should be comfortable collaborating with the larger Data Engineering team and have a passion for learning new data technologies and tools. Candidates must be willing to explore and learn new technologies. During the internship, the Data Engineering Intern will be assigned a project they can complete. The Data Engineering Team will guide them in learning new technologies and applying that knowledge to successfully complete the project. Qualifications Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering educational background preferred. Working knowledge of SQL required. Knowledge of Python programming preferred. Locations The preferred location for this role is one of our offices. We have offices in Durham, NC; Washington, DC; NYC; and San Francisco, CA. Additionally, we are on a hybrid schedule 3/week. Compensation The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
