Clerk II Position at King Philip Middle School

West Hartford Public Schools seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Clerk II at King Philip Middle School. The Clerk II supports the school community by providing a welcoming environment and clerical support to staff members and students. This is a 12-month position with full benefits.

Qualifications: Prior school office/clerical experience highly desirable. Proficient computer skills in Google platform documents, Power School/Student Management system experience with electronic communications/newsletters preferred. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform responsibly, interact with staff and public in a self-reliant, courteous, and professional manner, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties: Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Staff attendance records Daily staff coverage Transcripts and residency: Including entries and withdrawals, records release & residency inquiries Assumes responsibility for data entry and retrieval. Maintain files and records. Update/maintain master and school calendars and room reservations information Create and maintain PowerSchool forms and approvals School Transportation Liaison. General assistance with phone, staff, and students
