We offer competitive wages and career growth opportunities!Position SummarySignal Metal Industries is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician with either a strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.This hands-on position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient operations with minimal downtime. Candidates with expertise in industrial electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, or a combination of both are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systemsPerform emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtimeService CNC machines, welding equipment, overhead cranes, presses, and other industrial machineryDiagnose equipment failures and repair or replace faulty componentsPerform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliabilityRead and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manualsFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety requirementsMaintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and preventive maintenance recordsTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, and bearingsPerform mechanical repairs, rebuilds, alignments, lubrication, and adjustmentsInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and motor controlsDiagnose and repair PLCs, VFDs, relays, sensors, and machine control systemsWork on high-voltage, 3-phase power systems and electrical distribution equipmentUse diagnostic tools such as multimeters and megohm metersWork collaboratively with production and maintenance teams in a fast-paced environmentQualifications5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry)Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience with CNC machines, cranes, welding equipment, or industrial automation preferredKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and industrial controlsAbility to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsPLC and VFD troubleshooting experience strongly preferredMust provide own basic tools and toolboxAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spacesStrong safety mindset and consistent attendanceWillingness to work overtime as neededBenefitsWe recognize people as our most valuable asset.
