We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support patient registration and front-desk operations for a Long-term Contract position. In this role, you will help create a positive arrival experience while ensuring patient demographic, insurance, and financial details are accurately recorded in the electronic medical record. This opportunity is well suited for someone who combines strong customer service skills with attention to detail in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients upon arrival and provide a detail-focused, service-focused check-in experience.
• Gather and enter demographic, insurance, and financial information accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Guide patients through registration forms, required documentation, and signature collection for appointments or procedures.
• Confirm coverage, review eligibility and benefit details, and address registration or claim-related account discrepancies.
• Explain estimated patient costs, collect copays or deductibles, and respond to questions about available financial assistance options.
• Support patients with financial assistance applications, including screening for eligibility and helping complete required paperwork.
• Coordinate appointment flow by directing patients to the correct area and assisting with additional scheduling needs when needed.
• Record issues, follow-up actions, and account updates in work queues and patient records while following established procedures.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to team members, assist with training as needed, and complete other assigned duties related to patient access operations.• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a medical office, hospital, or similar detail-focused environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn registration and documentation systems quickly.
• Experience handling patient-facing administrative tasks such as scheduling, paperwork completion, and inbound or outbound communication.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification, benefits review, billing support, or patient account follow-up.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information and assist patients with questions or forms.
• Capability to remain active throughout the workday, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting light items as needed.
• Previous experience with Epic or revenue cycle processes is preferred.
