Complete behind‑the‑wheel training to obtain a NC CDL Class B license with P & S endorsements. Obtain a Class B CDL with P & S endorsements within the first 90 days of employment. Pass the DOT physical. Assist the bus driver in making safety decisions, seat assignments, and documentation of discipline problems, reporting to the Principal or Assistant Principal at assigned schools. Assist in conducting pre/post‑trip inspections. Learn and follow all bus routes assigned to the school. Assist with safe loading and unloading of passengers and clear the area when backing the bus. Keep students seated throughout the bus route and keep aisles free of objects. Ensure passenger safety during all aspects of bus transportation. Special Requirements Eligible to obtain a School Bus Certification (clean driving record). Employee will be moved to a School Bus Driver position within the BCS system upon proper licensing.
