Job Opportunity – Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, evening/night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Highlights:

• Join a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated pediatric medical center with comprehensive Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU capabilities
• Provide family-centered care in a state-of-the-art 21-bed pediatric intensive care unit alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team
• Work with diverse case mix including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO
• Epic charting system with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float position with opportunity to work across multiple high-acuity pediatric units based on staffing needs
• Warm, healing environment designed specifically for pediatric patients and their families

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or valid compact license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care pediatric ICU experience within the last 3 years required
• Solid PICU experience with cardiovascular ICU, cardiac step-down, or general cardiac experience strongly preferred
• BLS and PALS certifications through American Heart Association required; NRP preferred
• Basic arrhythmia experience required; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility location
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float to all inpatient pediatric units as needed
