Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Lonoke, AR. This role offers an opportunity to work across diverse practice areas, including estate planning, small business law, real estate transactions, probate, and family law. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, legal drafting expertise, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Duties Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies and client advisories. Draft clear and precise legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence. Assist in managing cases across various practice areas by preparing filings, organizing case files, and tracking deadlines. Support attorneys during negotiations by preparing relevant documentation and participating in settlement discussions when appropriate. Conduct client interviews to gather pertinent information and provide updates on case progress. Review case materials and evidence to identify key issues related to estate planning, small businesses, or other legal matters. Collaborate with the legal team on litigation strategies and courtroom preparations for hearings or trials. Maintain accurate records of all legal research activities and administrative tasks within the law office management system. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis is essential. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized legal documents under tight deadlines. Experience with legal drafting and administrative tasks within a busy law office environment. Excellent negotiation skills with a proactive attitude toward resolving complex legal issues. Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analyze complex legal issues effectively. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications None specified. Skills Proficiency with LexisNexis. Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
