Mortgage Loan Assistant

Mortgage Loan Assistant is responsible for providing support to our loan application process. The responsibilities of this position are to assist with the administrative, processing, and prequal duties of an assigned mortgage sales team. At times during the loan process, the Mortgage Loan Assistant may be directly communicating with the client and must be able to effectively facilitate specific process needs including receiving information that may be a potential sales opportunity for the assigned Mortgage Loan Officer. Tasks include, but not limited to ordering and collecting documentation required for the timely closing of loans. Mortgage consultant or similar experience or education is required as well as strong computer skills, time management, communication, and multitasking.**This position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in Texas or Oklahoma. Employees who reside within 60 miles of our corporate office or any bank branch will be expected to work on-site at a designated office location.**STATEMENT OF EXPECTATIONSChickasaw Community Bank (CCB) expects all employees to comply with the responsibilities of their assigned position to the highest degree of performance. Expectations include but are not limited to:Adhere to the bank’s policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional mannerRepresent CCB with a high level of integrity and professionalismMaintain knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws, and all policies and proceduresKnowledge of applicable bank software, programs, and proceduresDemonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlinesPossess a work ethic that includes neatness and punctualityExhibit a professional, business-like appearance, and demeanorAnswer all voicemails and emails within 24 hours of receiptConfer with management concerning questions, procedures, necessary information, forms completion, and problem resolutionsComplete and attend all required CCB trainingMaintain satisfactory attendanceReview new files within 48 hoursClose all loans on or before expected closing dateKeep accurate and updated notes on every loan file in our Loan Origination SystemESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPromote an outstanding customer experience by exemplifying prompt follow-up and proactive internal/external customer communication, proper etiquette, and all other professional customer service qualities to build a better life for our clientsAct as liaison between Mortgage Loan Officer and Mortgage ProcessorAct as the liaison with group of established realtors (20-30) to allow Mortgage Loan Officer to concentrate on generating new businessReview complex files; identify potential problems with loan applications and arrive at workable solutions prior to submission to ProcessingMonitor pipeline, including updating Mortgage Loan Officer on pipeline status and updating borrowers and builders on status of loanWatch for and prevent pipeline falloutCoordinate marketing to buyers, sellers, realtors and builders; assist in staffing Realtor/builder open houses and trade showsCoordinate the preparation of required loan documentation; review documentation for compliance with documentation requirements; coordinate the execution of loan documents; organize workflow for loan renewal; follow up with clients, insurance agents, Title Company and/ or attorney for missing loan documentation as necessaryEffective file maintenance to resolve exceptions or any other documentation deficiencies along with actively managing outstanding exception items for compliance with Credit PolicyADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform other duties as assigned.ENVIRONMENT AND INTERACTIONWork areas are inside, in a climate-controlled environment, with moderate background noise. Position may involve occasional travel to branch locations.
