Crane Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, reposition materials. Load and unload trailers, and/or railroad cars.
- Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure into inventory computer system and/or by paperwork.
- Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure.
- Assemble customer orders according to work orders.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience in the steel/metal processing, manufacturing, pipe yard industry (preferred).
- Overhead Crane Operator experience required (over 20 tons required, over 45 tons a bonus)
- Safety sensitive; Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures. Motivating positive attitude
- Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality. Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as assigned.
- Solid level of experience in remote overhead crane operations, be physically able to work at a fast pace while maintaining an eye for detail and have a proven track record of employment history.
- Pipe Yard environment - must be able to work in all-weather elements.
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs.
- 5 AM to 6 PM (8-12 hour shift) Must be open to working weekends.
