Phlebotomist Lab Assistant II

Job Overview The laboratories of IU Health provide some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana, operating 24/7 and processing over 19 million tests a year. The Phlebotomist II provides general laboratory services, including specimen collection, blood component preparation, pre‑analytic processing, waived and moderate complexity testing, and related clerical tasks. The role may involve patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens. Shift & Location Part‑time, days: 0600‑1430, three days per week with weekend rotation. Location: Bedford Hospital. Qualifications High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in a laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science preferred. May require a valid Indiana Operators license and a clean driving record for the last three years. May require knowledge of Indiana traffic laws. Proficiency with computers. Telephone skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
