Project Consultant - Payment Integrity Strategy and Performance

Overview Accountable for and manages the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of projects with moderate to complex scope. Projects typically span at least two years from planning to implementation and may impact one or more business units or functions, including processes, systems, products or services. Responsibilities Develop detailed project plans and schedules, identify goals, objectives, risks and resource allocation. Monitor project status for significant deviations in quality, cost or schedule; interface with various departments, senior management and external parties to support continuous improvement. Support development of project budgets and update as required. Coach and mentor team members, provide performance feedback, and ensure expectations are controlled and executed timely. Represent leadership staff at meetings in their absence. Manage vendor relationships: contract oversight, negotiating terms, ensuring compliance and evaluating vendor performance. Collaborate with finance to track costs and produce financial reports for vendor contracts and expenditures. Review contracts and ensure regulatory compliance, mitigating legal risks associated with third‑party engagements. Supply standardized project governance, status reporting, risk management and resource coordination for multi‑vendor, multi‑phase initiatives. Provide post‑implementation support, system monitoring, incident resolution and ensure service‑level adherence. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related field (required). Five (5) or more years of experience in a related field. Three (3) years of project management experience in health plan operations or a related field. Project Management Professional Certificate (preferred). Leadership and/or analytical experience with data, systems, and operations. Knowledge of program management and project management tools and methodologies. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in current industry‑standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Access, Excel, Word). Ability to work independently, within a team, and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work closely with technical support to resolve system issues. Ability to develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures. Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job. Departmental Preferences Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau or other tools. Strong communication skills and ability to support both ad hoc and recurring presentations and reporting.
