Contract/Travel Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Contract/Travel Nurse (RN) – Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Earn up to $3,150 per week and work with a supportive team that offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide safe and effective perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and hospital protocols.
2. Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures by providing appropriate instrumentation, supplies, and support as a circulator and scrub nurse.
3. Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage within the hospital's EMR system.
4. Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment, including robotics, navigation systems, and specialized OR tools, ensuring optimal function during surgeries.
5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (if applicable)
• At least 0 years of recent OR nursing experience
• Strong vascular, neuro, ENT, orthopedic, or general OR skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt to floating within hospital OR specialties

Preferred Skills:

• ACLS certification
• Previous travel experience
