This role ensures full regulatory compliance, contractor alignment, and continuous improvement of safety performance, while fostering a strong safety culture across projects and operational teams.
The position will work closely with EPC contractors, O&M providers, third party service partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure that HSE standards are consistently applied, effectively monitored, and continuously enhanced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE Plans in line with corporate standards, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
- Define and integrate HSE requirements into EPC, O&M, and other project agreements to ensure full contractual and operational compliance.
- Support the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of third‑party HSE Management Systems, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Review, assess, and formally approve EPC and contractor HSE Plans prior to project mobilization.
- Conduct annual audits of contractor safety plans, monitoring corrective and preventive action plans.
- Perform monthly HSE site inspections during construction, identifying risks, non‑conformities, and improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate in hazard identification, job safety analysis (JSA), and risk assessment processes.
- Lead and support near‑miss, incident, and accident investigations, ensuring root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Analyze trends related to unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, developing pragmatic mitigation strategies and continuous improvement plans.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance indicators, proactively addressing emerging risks.
Requirements
- B.Tech/BE in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an HSE management role, ideally within construction, EPC, energy, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and international best practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractor HSE performance in multi‑stakeholder project environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
