Because a significant concentration of customers and business opportunities are located within the New York metropolitan area, candidates residing in New York City or Northern New Jersey are strongly preferred.This is a consultative laboratory sales role focused on driving growth of laboratory instrumentation, reagents, and consumables while partnering with healthcare organizations and laboratory leaders throughout the region. We are specifically seeking professionals who are already established within the laboratory diagnostics industry and possess experience supporting one or more of the following laboratory specialties:ChemistryHematologyImmunoassayThe ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of laboratory operations, experience selling diagnostic products or instrumentation, and an established network within the laboratory community. In this role, you will identify and develop new laboratory business opportunities, support customer equipment implementations, drive reagent and consumable growth, and collaborate closely with McKesson sales teams and supplier partners to expand market share throughout the Northeast Territory.CompensationBase Salary: $115,000 - $130,000Target Incentive: $60,000Auto Program: Monthly auto allowance of $668, or company vehicle with fuel cardComprehensive McKesson Benefits PackageCareer growth opportunities within a market-leading healthcare organizationKey ResponsibilitiesDrive Laboratory Sales GrowthIdentify, develop, and close new laboratory equipment and diagnostic sales opportunities.Expand business within existing accounts while driving growth through new customer acquisition.Achieve territory sales objectives for instrumentation, reagents, and consumables.Build Strategic Customer RelationshipsDevelop relationships with laboratory leaders, healthcare providers, and key decision-makers.Understand customer needs and recommend solutions that improve operational and clinical performance.Establish trusted partnerships that support long-term customer success.Lead Equipment Implementation & ExpansionSupport laboratory equipment evaluations, implementations, installations, and customer acceptance.Drive menu expansion opportunities and promote utilization of reagents and consumables.Assist customers with laboratory planning and equipment placement decisions.Collaborate, Educate & InfluencePartner with McKesson sales teams, supplier partners, and internal stakeholders to identify and develop opportunities.Provide laboratory expertise throughout the sales process.Support proposal development, laboratory planning, and customer presentations.Minimum Qualifications4+ years of relevant experienceValid driver's license with acceptable driving record7 year motor vehicle record check completed as part of pre-employmentPreferred QualificationsLaboratory diagnostics sales experienceExperience selling laboratory instrumentationExperience selling laboratory reagents and consumablesAcute Care or Non-Acute Care laboratory experienceExperience working with Chemistry, Hematology, or Immunoassay testing environmentsExperience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platformBachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experienceAdditional SkillsStrong knowledge of laboratory diagnostics and testing environmentsExperience developing and managing complex sales opportunitiesAbility to build relationships with laboratory leadership and healthcare decision-makersStrong consultative selling and territory management skillsExcellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholdersStrong organizational and project management skillsWork EnvironmentField-based sales role supporting customers throughout the Northeast Territory, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.Frequent travel throughout the assigned geography.Combination of customer-facing meetings, laboratory visits, supplier collaboration, and home-office work.Preferred residence: New York City or Northern New Jersey.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
