Primary Responsibilities: Designing, building, and maintaining real-time, streaming, and batch ML/data pipelinesOptimizing the end-to-end performance of our ML/data pipelinesPioneer new approaches to pipelines and workflow orchestrationBuild and maintain scalable and reliable storage/compute servicesAutomated capacity management and trackingCollaborate with Business Partners, Software Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and other stakeholdersFollow engineering best practices towards ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and measurabilityYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:B.S. in Computer Science or a related field4+ years of professional Data Engineering/Software Engineering experience2+ years of experience building large scale, distributed data pipelines and data applications2+ years of experience building batch or streaming machine learning inference pipelinesExpert understanding of ETL methodologiesStrong proficiency with SQL-based languages and query optimizationExperience with Spark, Kafka and similar toolsExperience with cloud technologies, Azure preferredProficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau for analysisPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Healthcare industry on domains like Claims, provider, Member, Eligibility, Prior Authorizations or Payments)Experience with ETL, ELT or other data integration processPublished portfolio of projects (for example on GitHub or a similar platform)Experience in Azure or other cloud platformTo protect the health and safety of our workforce, patients and communities we serve, UnitedHealth Group and its affiliate companies require all employees to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status prior to beginning employment. Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900.
