Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer Lead and oversee the development of site designs for land development projects in Woodbridge, VA or Fairfax, VA, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The candidate will support project staff throughout all phases of project execution and provide technical leadership. Responsibilities Develop site designs and technical documents for land development projects. Create design efficiencies using Civil 3D. Lead water and sanitary sewer design and subdivision plans. Produce construction drawings for site layout, grading, geometry, utilities, and storm drainage. Develop planning studies, preliminary and final design plans, and pursue project permitting. Design erosion and sediment control measures in compliance with state criteria. Perform quality assurance and control on own work. Provide training and mentorship to junior staff. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 3–10+ years of experience in land‑development design (stormwater, grading, E&S control). Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. EIT certification and/or PE license preferred. Experience on Northern VA local projects preferred. Work Environment Open‑office culture with a collaborative, family‑oriented environment. After an initial 30–90 days, hybrid work allows 2–3 remote days per week with flexibility.
