Computed Tomography Technologist

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Akron, OH as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will operate CT and radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. You will evaluate images with radiologists, obtain additional images as requested, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure patient records and procedure documentation are completed timely.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or JRCERT-accredited program in Radiology.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or CT Registry preferred. Must be registered by ARRT if required.
• Licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience. Client requires 2+ years experience; Level I trauma and stroke center experience required.
• Recent Epic experience within the last 12 months required.
• BLS/CPR certification and ability to initiate CPR.
• Ability to perform intravenous contrast administration and related patient positioning and restraint techniques.
• Ability to lift and position patients consistent with heavy physical demands (frequent lifting/positioning up to 50–100 pounds occasionally).
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinical staff and to work with diverse patient populations respectfully.

Preferred Qualifications

• CT Registry certification preferred if not already listed under minimums.
• One year radiology technology experience preferred when not meeting the 2-year client requirement.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 13:00–01:30.
• Schedule: 4x10s format.
• Must be able to work every other weekend; block schedule on weekends accepted.
• No on-call or holiday requirements.
• Level I trauma and stroke center experience required.
• Must be able to float to other facilities if requested by the client.
• Maximum of 7 days allowed for request time off (RTO).
• Interviews required; provide candidate availability dates and times.
