We are a leading specialty and emergency hospital, housed in a state-of-the-art 25,000-square-foot facility equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases. With 13 specialty departments, our team includes top experts in fields such as internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, and more, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients. As a Veterinary Technician Surgery, you'll support our surgical department, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient care. In this role, you will:

• Provide hands-on assistance during proceduresfrom general patient care and diagnostic workups to advanced interventionsunder the guidance of senior technicians and specialists.
• Manage a range of technical tasks, such as venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and patient record-keeping.
• Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring the department is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is ready for immediate use.
• Monitor and care for non-critical and recovering patients.
• Administer medications and treatments (IV, IM, SQ, PO).
• Prepare and manage patient recovery from anesthesia.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, clinicians, and support teams.
• Maintain accurate records, follow treatment plans, and assist with patient discharge.
• Demonstrate sound medical knowledge and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Apply Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to keep patients safe and calm.

Anticipated Schedule

• Monday-Thursday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Some holidays are required

Compensation

• Starting at $26.00/hour

What We're Looking For

• 12 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician/Nurse
• CVT/LVT/RVT licensure preferred or educational equivalent
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, terminology, and disease processes
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• A calm, focused demeanor and a commitment to learning and growth
