Job Description
SCHEDULE
- Shift: Day / Night rotating options
- Start / Orientation: Orientation = 72 hours (Week 1: Mon-Fri days; Week 2: 36 hours on-unit with preceptor)

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Contract Length: 16 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Must meet specialty experience within the 3 most recent years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass
- Surgical oncology experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Preferred: ONS chemotherapy certification
- EMR: Experience with EPIC

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in surgical oncology and mixed acuity settings.
- Monitor patient conditions and recognize potential complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy and IV infusions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and care in the EMR.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Vaccination Policy: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Fingerprinting: Ohio fingerprinting required urgently after contract signing
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager/director or formal leader
- RTO required with submission
