Overview Registered Nurse – Obstetric Unit (Antepartum/Postpartum) Location: Hanford, CA, United States Start date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,338–$2,419 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Shift: 3x12-hour nights Setting: Inpatient obstetric care unit focusing on antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal care; gynecology excluded and labor/delivery not part of this unit. Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $2,338–$2,419 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour nights Start date: 06/01/2026 Travel assignment in obstetric care (antepartum/postpartum) with normal newborns Responsibilities Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient group in the obstetric unit according to established standards and the nursing process. Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines. Exercise critical thinking and independent judgment in daily patient care decisions. Care for antepartum/antenatal and postpartum/postnatal maternity patients and normal newborns; gynecology patients are excluded and this unit does not include labor and delivery. Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress; communicate with the care team and families; participate in discharge planning as appropriate.
