Registered Nurse II - Interventional Radiology

C002 Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)

Job Summary The Vascular Access Registered Nurse II provides individualized patient care, develops the vascular program, and performs PICC, midline, and peripheral line insertions under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities Develop and manage the vascular program including supplies and charges. Evaluate patients and provide goal‑directed care using the nursing process. Perform PICC, midline, and peripheral line insertions as ordered by a physician. Collaborate with the health‑care team to achieve desired outcomes. Qualifications & Licensure Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Training in ultrasound‑guided midline placement. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for most nursing areas. Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking continuously. Ability to climb stairs (infrequent) and work indoors, outdoors in temperature extremes, from elevated areas, in confined spaces, from kneeling positions. Ability to bend, twist, squat, and perform pinching, gross, and fine motor activities continuously. Ability to reach overhead and perform repetitive hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder motions continuously. Ability to use both legs for balance, and to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted; lift/lower 50 lbs. from floor to 36 inches, and 25 lbs. from 36” to overhead (infrequent). Maintain 20/40 vision, hearing acuity, and stress management skills continuously. Job Details Employee, regular, scheduled work 24 hours per week on a 3‑day shift (8:00am – 5:00pm).
