Job Description Job Responsibilities Clinical Research Coordinator A The primary role of Clinical Research Coordinator is theorganization, coordination and implementation of research studiesfor the Penn Pregnancy & Perinatal Research Center. Theessential functions of the position include but are not limitedto: Detailed screening of patients for eligibility across multiplestudies Consenting of patients into multiple studies Collaborate with clinical team as necessary to provide apositive encounter. Provide clinical services, including phlebotomy and obtainbiospecimens as required by the protocol. Intercept and respond tostudy participants phone calls. Perform telephone follow-up perstudy protocol. Data collection and management in accordance with studyprotocol and the maintenance of source documents and case reportforms. Collect and report timely, valid accurate data, maintainindividual patient records. Maintain study compliance and integritythrough close collaboration with nurse coordinator andinvestigators as well as the patient. Respond to database queriesand chart reviews as necessary. Coordinate with community partners as needed to encouragementrecruitment and retention. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Clinical Research Coordinator B The CRC- B In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above willalso perform these duties: Coordinate scheduling of study participant visits with studyinvestigators and nurse practitioners as per protocol. Ensuring all tests and assessments at each visit are performed,reporting adverse events and ensuring review and appropriatefollow-up by investigator. Prepare detailed documentation of study activities. *Position contingent upon continued funding* Qualifications Position requires a highly motivated, articulate individual withexcellent oral and written communication skills. The candidateshould possess the ability to work independently and also as partof a team. Strong planning, organizational and prioritizingcapabilities along with problem solving skills desired. Clinical Research Coordinator A: BS degree and 1-2 yearsrelated experience in research and clinical study methodologies orequivalent combination of education and experience required.
