Staff Assistant/Driver

The Office of Congressman Marc Veasey is seeking a Staff Assistant/Driver for his Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate has strong driving skills, excellent professional judgment and discretion, exceptional constituent service skills, close attention to detail, time management abilities, strong writing and communication skills, and an aptitude for database work. The position may require work outside normal hours. A valid U.S. driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a vehicle are required. Key Responsibilities Drive the Member to meetings, events, and other engagements. Coordinate closely with the Member’s scheduling team to ensure timely appointments. Manage the front office, including greeting and welcoming visitors. Answer D.C. office phones and log constituent comments and feedback. Coordinate tour and flag requests. Assist with office operations and administrative duties. Manage the DC internship program. Oversee the office mail program, including IQ correspondence system, ensuring constituents receive timely replies. Support the DC staff with other tasks as assigned. Requirements Valid U.S. driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Professional demeanor and positive attitude. Texas ties are a plus but not required.
