What You'll Do

• Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.
• Manage patient check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, confirmations, and recalls.
• Verify dental insurance benefits , eligibility, and pre-authorizations when applicable.
• Prepare and review dental treatment plans with patients.
• Explain treatment recommendations, estimated patient financial responsibility, and financing options.
• Collect co-pays, payments, and outstanding balances while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Maintain accounts receivable (A/R) and assist with patient billing and collections.
• Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions regarding appointments, treatment, insurance, and payments.
• Maintain accurate electronic dental records (EHR/EMR) , patient charts, consent forms, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, dental assistants, and laboratory staff.
• Support daily office operations to ensure an efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a dental office , oral surgery, prosthodontic, periodontic, orthodontic, or other healthcare practice preferred. Experience in treatment coordination , patient scheduling, or patient services.
• Knowledge of dental insurance verification , benefit breakdowns, claims, and predeterminations.
• Experience discussing treatment estimates, patient financing, and payment arrangements.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix (preferred), Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar).
• Experience maintaining patient records and scheduling within a dental practice.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
